Hubble

The Eagle Nebula, Pillars of Creation
Birthplace of Stars

Don’t think about size: incomprehensible
Forget about distance: unfathomable
Time? Don’t bother.

Think instead about the beauty
mystery and majesty. Allow
these thoughts to drift freely
in the vast spaciousness
of your own mind
maybe a light hand on the helm.

Follow the vaulted star shine
to serenity. Return home
with a new understanding
one best explained by a smile.
