Welcome to Every Day People

Thanks to Sly Stewart and the Family Stone for the title of this blog. I am an everday person and my writing will reflect a point of view that I hope will be accessible to anyone who chooses to read it. As Bukowski wrote in "Poetry Readings:"

please, please, give me something else:

a drunken plumber at a bowling alley,
a prelim boy in a four rounder,
a jock guding his horse through along the
rail,
a bartender on last call,
a waitress pouring me a coffee,
a drunk sleeping in a deserted doorway...
the mailman telling a dirty joke


I am everyday people.
